1. Commitment
Volentas LLC intends every page of volentas.com, including the interactive tools under /resources/ and the pages that display saved results, to be usable by people who rely on screen readers, magnification, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is a condition of publishing any change to the site.
2. Standard
The standard we hold the site to is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. The standard applies to every page and every interactive feature, in both the light and the dark theme.
3. Measures
The following measures are in place:
- Automated testing. Every change to the site runs axe-core against every page, in the light theme and in the dark theme, before it can be released. Any violation of a WCAG 2.0, 2.1, or 2.2 Level A or AA rule blocks the release.
- Keyboard operability. Every control, including the calculators, assessments, and share and save actions in the tools, can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and focus order follows the reading order of the page.
- Visible focus. Every focusable element shows a focus indicator that meets the contrast requirement of WCAG 2.2.
- Skip link. The first focusable element on each page moves focus directly to the main content.
- Semantic structure. Each page has one first-level heading, headings in sequence, landmark regions, lists marked up as lists, tables with header cells, and form fields with programmatic labels.
- Colour contrast. Text and interface components meet the Level AA contrast ratios in both themes, and the palette tokens that produce them are checked when they change.
- Reduced motion. When the operating system or browser reports a preference for reduced motion, decorative animation, scroll-triggered reveals, and page transitions are turned off.
4. Known Limitations
At the date of this statement we have no confirmed failures of the standard. Automated testing does not find every barrier, and we expect that some visitors will encounter problems the tests do not detect; we ask that you tell us about them using the channel in Section 5.
The contact form includes a Turnstile challenge, an embedded control provided by Cloudflare, Inc. We do not control the markup or behaviour of that control, and its accessibility is described by Cloudflare. Websites and documents that we link to are operated by third parties and are outside the scope of this statement.
5. Feedback
If you encounter a barrier on the site, write to info@volentas.com. Include the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and any assistive technology you were using. We respond within three business days, and where a barrier is confirmed we will tell you what we will change and when. If you need the content of a page in a different form in the meantime, ask and we will provide it.
6. Date
This statement was prepared on September 8, 2026. We review it whenever the site changes in a way that could affect accessibility, and at least once a year.
